Mor Spirit chalked up his third career graded stakes win on Sunday with an easy score in the $200,000 Sexton Mile at Lone Star Park.

The 4-year-old became racing’s newest millionaire in the process, upping his earnings to $1,008,400.

Mor Spirit took the lead soon after the start of Sunday’s race and was going along comfortably the entire way. He began to widen his lead after six furlongs and was under a hand ride from Mike Smith as he hit the wire 5 3/4-lengths ahead of Texas Chrome (VIDEO).

Mor Spirit’s other graded wins came in the Los Alamitos Futurity (G1) as a 2-year-old and the Robert B. Lewis S. (G3) last season. He also took the $250,000 Essex H. in his most recent start prior to Sunday.
