Tenma turns in final breeze before Kentucky Oaks (G1)

Tenma will attempt to give Bob Baffert his fourth Kentucky Oaks (G1) victory on May 2nd when she faces a full field in the 1 1/8-mile race for 3-year-old fillies.
Tenma arrived a Churchill Downs just a few days ago and had her final pre-Oaks workout on April 26.
“He’s good; he can really work one,” said Baffert before the work in reference to jockey Martin Garcia. “For a while there, I thought he had a clock in his head. I told him I wanted him to go in :48 [for the half mile] today, so let’s see how he does.”
Tenma would ultimately post a time of :48 4/5, leaving Baffert pleased and ready for Friday’s race.
Tenma has been nearly perfect in her career, winning five of six starts. In her two races this year, she won the Las Virgenes S. (G3) and Santa Anita Oaks (G2). The dark bay filly is owned by the Baoma Corporation and has earned $549,000.
Tenma drew post 9 in the field of 14 and will be piloted by regular rider Juan Hernandez. Post time for the Oaks, which is race 11, is 5:51 pm ET.
